Antoinette 's BioSomeone once said that through someone’s eyes, you can see their soul and to an extent I believe there is truth in that. My eyes serve as a two way portal; me viewing the world and then trying to reproduce what I see as I see it. Much like a child, I tend to view occurrences, places, people and things vastly different than most adults. This is not to say that my view is better or worse, just different.
Everyday there is an exchange an engagement between me and my environment. I call myself an observer of everyday beauty. Bearing witness to those extraordinarily ordinary moments and with some good fortune, I am able to capture such moments on film. There are many of the belief that by photographing something, you somehow steal the subject’s soul. My intent is not to steal the soul, rather to allow others to be able to undergo the view through my eyes all the while leaving the subject untouched. And if my art somehow moves one to emote anything, then and only then, have I succeeded. Photography has given me a powerful voice; I hope that you enjoy what you hear.
