ZooLights: A dazzling holiday display at Stone Zoo near Boston
ZooLights, a favorite Boston area holiday family tradition, returns to Stone Zoo on Thanksgiving Day 2009 through Dec. 30.
This bright winter wonderland draws tens of thousands of visitors annually by inspiring them as they walk along tree-lined paths lit by thousands of twinkling lights. Upon entering the zoo, guests will visit Yukon Creek, featuring not only glittering holiday lights but also bald eagles, porcupine, lynx, a gray fox – and reindeer to boot.
Children should plan to visit with Santa, who awaits their appearance in his Castle. Old Saint Nicholas will be available for photos through Dec. 23. After visiting Santa’s Castle, guests will enter a magical holiday world replete with fairy tale characters and plush dancing animals. The Santa photos and carousel rides are available for an additional fee.
For those planning to visit between Nov. 26-30, you'll receive $1 off the $5 per-person normal admission.
