Brigitte La Puparazzi's Bio

My first camera was put in my hands at the age of 3 by my father.  One of the first words I learned to speak was “chien” which is French for Dog.  I even met my husband because of my Yellow lab and his Shepard husky.  A dog can really change your life for the better.  Mine turned me into a married Puparazzi.

I have been doing photography in a serious way for the last 20 years.  I trained professionally at the Marsan Photo College in Montreal .  Black and White portraits have always been my favorite format.  You can feel the subject’s true personality and emotion without any distractions.

It seems only natural that I join two of my favorite subjects: Dogs and Photography.

I love to convey in my pictures the emotions of my canine subject.  You can ‘feel’ their souls in my portraits.

I have added another twist to some of my portraits via a hand coloring technique using watercolor ink.  I add a touch of color to the black and white portrait or in some cases color the entire portrait.  The goal is always to emphasize the emotion that the dog was gracious enough to show me during our session.

The best way I can give back is to contribute to a local shelter and rescue group by taking and donating portraits for the fundraising of their sheltered dogs.

I am always excited by the idea that I will be able to create a lasting memory of someone’s cherished furry family member.
